The VW Polo G40 😍 was an inspired addition to the ever-popular IIF (Mk3 in the UK) Polo sparked by VWs own engineers. In the shadow of its ever-popular Golf big brother, the Polo was not previously known for its street performance.
The G40 turned this perception upside down when the engineers stuck a supercharger 😁 to the 1272cc engine. Creating what motoring journalists called a GTI league pocket rocket.
Having a classic VW base Luke Gerrard, ace dub creator has built a one-of-a-kind custom G40 VW Polo featuring the following engine upgrades; BarTek 65mm 5pk pulleys, aluminium boost hose, full blend supercharger, FMIC, aluminium radiator upgrade. Direnza exhaust manifold with Tony Banks exhaust system, Mishimoto 8″ cone filter and slim fan, Iridium spark plugs plus boost return delete.
All, of course, refined with the must-have ECU chip to keep everything running at peak performance.
To keep this engineered rocket stuck to the tarmac Luke has upgraded the handling with the help of custom Gaz GHA coilovers, MaxRPM chamber top mounts with full polybushes. You may have noticed from the photos that this VW Polo also has a stripped interior containing a 6 point OMP roll cage, Raid HP steering wheel with quick release and Recaro sport seats.
With attention to driving dynamics, Luke has fitted a TA Technics strut brace keeping the bodywork super agile. He has also wisely upgraded the standard stoppers with an impressive set of EBC vented slotted brake disks matched to GreenStuff EBC brake pads.
Having a tested formula for producing a lineup of excellent dubs included a neat MK3 Golf GTI, featured here. Luke has tweaked the exterior aesthetics by fitting AC Schnitzer BMW E30 14×7 alloys, Rieger splitter and sideskirts matched to custom bumpers, smoothed boot and full custom paintwork to create an awesome custom G40.
