My car is a 1973 VW fastback with 83k original miles on the clock, the car is a Cali import with ALL ORIGINAL paint.
I am the second owner from new, and Since purchasing the car it has undergone a full chassis overhaul. I have fitted a 4” Narrowed type1 beam to the front and 2.5” dropped spindles, air shocks and through rods.
At the rear, I have fitted a weld in bag mount set up with double bellow bags and gaz adjustable dampening shocks. Red9design rose jointed spring plates helps with rear adjustment and lows. Has a Custom rear boot build with 2 Viair 380 compressors and a polished 5 gal skinny tank.
The air ride is controlled via an Airjax switchblock and Viair gauges mounted in a custom housing under the dash. The wheels are 17×6.5 and 17×8.5 BBS RS split rims with a 5×114 PCD.
I have had blank front discs drilled to suit and converted to stud and nut, and the rear hubs and drums re-drilled and converted to stud and nut in order to fit the wheels. Spare wheel well has been blanked and fuel filler re-located to avoid contact with the ground/wheel at full drop.
