Starting with an eight-seater minivan 🚌 as your base vehicle has many advantages. With windows already fitted the Bremenm (German) residing owners Melli and Seb know that they had found their ideal T4 project van for conversion to this quirky #vanlife campervan.
On purchase of this 1995 T4 Caravelle transporter, Melli and Seb quickly named their modern bulli “Elmar”, a Nordic name roughly translating to mean “Incredible beauty and strength” 💪 A name which I’m sure you’ll agree is super fitting for this brave German bus.
When Melli and Seb quickly discovered headroom in their original compact Elmar was at a premium, a stylish high-top roof was fitted, originating from a salvaged T4 and painted yellow to give Elmar his signature yellow and Fresian Green paintwork.
As you can imagine, Melli and Seb are very pleased with how Elmar has turned out. A super characterful design which can be seen here throughout their photographs.
