VW developed the Type 181 as a direct competitor to the Wrangler Jeep, a product of West German era politics. The VW Type 181 became a cult car which found popularity in the civilian market when sold as the “Kurierwagen” meaning “courier car” and the “Thing” in the United States, 181s also go other regional names.
This 181 is a full custom build; this stunning creation literally has no suspension and relies on its tires for suspension. Now that’s a hardcore ride!

With such fresh looks, the owner is currently perfecting his creation by adding a new engine block with two big 40mm Webers to guarantee it performs as well as it looks.
